Managing Director (Parental Leave Contract: 6 months, with possibility of permanent role)

We are looking for a Managing Director to operate our social enterprise consulting business operations, people and ventures. This is an incredible opportunity for someone driven to make an impact.  You are a strategist, implementer, and growth driver. Reporting to the CEO of Parker P. Consulting, the Managing Director role will actively manage the operations, business development, client relationships and ensure high quality project execution on behalf of the company.

Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Identify and develop business opportunities to deliver on the business plan
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to achieve cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Act as the spokesperson and ambassador of the company
  • Oversee and manage communications, marketing channels and collateral
  • Development of new content, products and services, from inception to completion in partnership with the CEO

Operations and Strategy

  • Enhance and maintain the business operating systems required for a start-up consulting practice including but not limited to:
    • Proposal templates, contracts, invoices, case studies
  • Develop standards and processes to enable growth and minimize risk
  • Actively solution and respond to challenges as they arise
  • Facilitate inter-company transactions between White Ribbon and Parker P. Consulting
  • In partnership with the White Ribbon Director of Finance & Operations, play a role with the CEO in the day-to-day needs of the company
  • Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in partnership with the CEO
  • Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Board of Directors
  • Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures

Client/Relationship Management

  • Build and expand upon trust-based relationships with new and current clients, shareholders, business partners and authorities
  • Create new relationships for business prospecting

Project Management

  • Involvement in the strategic development and analysis of project solutions for clients
  • Manage project delivery and oversee project managers and teams to exceed delivery expectations, mitigate risks and ensure projects are on time and within cost parameters
  • Accountable for quality control of all reporting, including staff reports (best practice in GBV Primary Prevention & consulting advice)

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong understanding of gender inclusion theory and practice (subject matter expertise)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategies and executable business plans
  • Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
  • High level of comfort financials and measures of performance
  • A self-starter, with excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • BSc/BA in Humanities, Social sciences, MBA or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred

Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000/annum pro-rated for the period of the contract
