One of Canada’s newest engineering school, York University’s Lassonde School is one of the trailblazers in innovative, 21st century approaches to engineering pedagogy. As part of its approach and commitment to innovation, it set out an ambitious target of achieving gender parity. The Lassonde 50:50 Challenge has set the stage for Canadian engineering programs to tackle the question of gender underrepresentation.
In a sector that has largely been dominated by men, how can Lassonde reach this important achievement of gender balance? We are working with the school to answer this very question.
